Use

  • Always use caution when handling sharp objects.
  • Avoid cutting on hard surfaces such as stone, metal or glass.
  • It is not advisable to use any knife but a meat cleaver to cut through bone or frozen food, as the blade can be easily damaged.

Care

  • Before first use, hand-wash knives in soapy water.
  • To prolong the longevity of your knife, hand-wash with warm, soapy water and a non-scratch cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly.
  • Clean and dry the knives thoroughly before inserting into the knife block.
  • Knives can become dull over time, after frequent use. Use a knife sharpener or a sharpening steel to sharpen a dull blade. If using a knife sharpener, simply put the knife’s blade in the slot and gently pull it through a couple of times. If you prefer using a sharpening steel, make sure it has a higher hardness factor than the knife.
  • Please note that serrated blades cannot be sharpened.
  • To ensure the longevity of the knife block, occasionally rub with a food-safe mineral oil.
  • Clean knife block with a soft damp cloth; do not soak or submerge in water.
